The site allows you to subit a generic information request and a specific technical assistance request using dedicated forms. In order to send the form, you have to provide some personal information to identify you as the person making the request. These data are used to generate e-mail messages towards the responsible persons of COMEC snc.
The site allows the subscription to a forum dedicated to the discussion among 10micron mount owners, and to the download of documentation, firmware updates and software updates.
When you register to our forum, we collect your email address and an username of your choice. If you own a 10micron mount, we collect your mount model, serial number and purchase date. If you don’t own a 10micron mount, we require that you provide the reasons you are interested in reading our forum; in this case activating your account is exclusively at our discretion.
You may, but are not required to, provide other personal information such as your birthday, location, and website, to improve your interaction with other forum members. In all cases, you have the option of what information in your account is publicly displayed. Your username and signature will be shown to all forum members.
We also store the IP addresses that you use to post with, to improve the security of your connection with the forum website.
You, as an user of the forum, may send personal information by posting messages on the forum. The messages are considered to be publicly available as it will be indexed by search engines as well as on-line archive sites. The personal details that you give us when you sign up, or add later, will be used for the purposes of 10micron forum functionality. If you are a 10micron mount owner, and you have identified yourself as such, we will use your data also for managing technical support requests after they are started by you. We will not use your personal data for any other purpose. We will not contact you for marketing purposes, direct or indirect, nor will we profile you.
Personal data are processed by personnel of COMEC snc which has been authorized to do so under the responsibility of the Controller, for the purposes above stated. Personal data related to the web services may be managed, occasionally and in case of maintenance of the services, by third parties authorized by the Controller, under the supervision of the Controller, and exclusively for the time and scope required for performing the maintenance service.
Personal data will not be communicated nor sold to anybody else.
Personal data are processed in the territory of the European Union. The forum database is hosted by Aruba SpA, Italy. Backups and archives of the technical assistance data are hosted in the offices of COMEC snc.
Personal data are stored for the period required to complete the purpose for which they have been collected.
The forum database and web server are hosted by Aruba S.p.A. and secured at their data centers using standard industry-accepted protocols.
Comec snc uses industry-standard measures to avoid the illicit or inappropriate use of collected data, and their unauthorized change. Data can be accessed only by authorized personnel under specific rules.
You have the possibility of exercising the following rights, without additional costs or delays:
